Heading ever North, with sticky fingers and cinnamon on my breath, the road climbs to the highest summit on the Alcan, aptly named “Summit” and it tops out over 4000 ft. It’s still winter up here, and really scenic. Too cold to stay around, tho! The road’s a bit more challenging, too.
Soon, I’m descending back into warmer weather, but the snow-capped mountains are still in sight.
Oops! A Caribou! Crossing the road, of all things…. you really have to watch where you’re going!
Stretching for miles right alongside the Alcan, Muncho lake is an awesome blue green lake surrounded by mountains. last trip, it was still a little frozen… this time, it’s still damn sure frozen. In some ways, it’s even prettier!
The ice is breaking up into chunks, and each one is a perfect piece of art.
For a perfect finish, I’m treated to an awesome sunset!
So long from Muncho Lake. I’ll save a seat for you!
